7 Quick & Easy Ways to use Milk Powder

1) High Energy Protein-enriched Milk
INGREDIENTS:
- 1-liter organic milk
- 1 cup Dairy Joy Milk Powder
METHOD:
- Gradually add milk powder to milk, whisking until dissolved. Keep in the refrigerator.
2) Homemade Condensed Milk
INGREDIENTS:
- 1 cup Dairy Joy Milk Powder
- 1/3 cup water
- 2/3 cup Sugar
- 3 tablespoons butter, softened
METHOD:
- Put all the ingredients in a food processor and whizz until the sugar is dissolved.
3) Creamy Hot Chocolate Mix – Makes 20 serves
INGREDIENTS:
- 3 cups Dairy Joy Milk Powder
- 3 cups Sugar
- 1 ½ cups Cocoa Powder
- 1 ½ cup white chocolate chips
- ¼ teaspoon Himalayan salt
METHOD:
- Whisk all ingredients together in a large bowl, then pulse ingredients in a food processor until chocolate is finely ground.
- Store the dry mix in an airtight container for up to 3 months.
- To make hot cocoa, put 1/3 cup of cocoa mix in a mug and stir in 1 cup of hot milk or water.
4) Pancake Mix
INGREDIENTS:
- 2 cups plain flour
- 1 cup wholemeal flour
- 3 teaspoons Baking Powder
- 6 tablespoons Sugar
- ¾ cup Dairy Joy Milk Powder
METHOD:
- Simply stir ingredients together or blend in a food processor. Store in an airtight container.
- For every cup of pancake mix add 1 cup of water, 1 egg, and 1 tablespoon of butter. Whisk together in a jug and make pancakes as usual.
- Serve with your choice of toppings.
*if you prefer your pancakes less sweet, you can reduce the amount of sugar you add to your pancake mix
5) Homemade Cocoa Mix
INGREDIENTS:
- 1 cup Dairy Joy Milk Powder
- ¼ cup Cocoa Powder
- Pinch Himalayan salt
- 1/1 cup vanilla sugar*
- *2 cups of Sugar
- 1 vanilla bean
- Split the vanilla bean and scrape out the seeds.
- Combine in a blender with the sugar until the bean is fully minced.
METHOD:
- Mix all ingredients and store them in an airtight container.
- To make hot cocoa, put 1/3 cup of cocoa mix in a mug and stir in 1 cup of hot milk or water.
- Serve with Vanilla Mallows
6) Crème Brulee
INGREDIENTS:
- 400ml double cream
- Milk Powder mix (3/4 cup Dairy Joy Milk Powder to 400ml water)
- 2 vanilla beans, split, seeds scraped
- 10 egg yolks
- 180g Sugar
METHOD:
- Add cream, milk powder mix, and vanilla to a pot. Heat until 180 degrees c. Remove from heat.
- Mix yolks and sugar in a large bowl. Beat until sugar melts and yolks turn pale yellow.
- Remove vanilla beans. Add milk mixture slowly to the egg mix. Pour into Brulee molds. Place in a tray, and fill with lukewarm water until halfway molds. Bake for 35 minutes or until just firm.
- Remove and allow to cool.
- To serve Sprinkle 2 teaspoons of sugar on top. Grill or blowtorch to caramelize.
7) Nourishing Milk Bath
INGREDIENTS:
- 4 tablespoons honey
- 1 liter boiling water
- 6 tablespoons Dairy Joy Milk Powder
METHOD:
- Pour honey into a large bowl, slowly add boiling water
- Stir until dissolved and leave to cool
- Start running your bath, and whilst waiting…
- Place milk powder into a large bowl, and gradually mix in cooled honey water.
- Add the milk & honey mixture to your bath – preferably into the running water – to dissolve the milk powder.
